How to fact-check a page or AI answer against its sources in Chrome
The short answer
Open the side panel, ask about the page, and every answer cites and highlights the exact source sentence — click to jump to the evidence in the page, or see clearly when there is none. It reads only the page you’re on.

An answer you can’t trace isn’t worth much. Whether it’s a claim on a page or a summary an AI gave you, the question is the same: where in the source does it actually say that? In Chrome you can ask about the page you’re on and have every statement tied back to the exact sentence it came from.

Open the side panel and ask your question. ProofJump works against the current page’s own text — it isn’t pulling from somewhere else.
Follow every claim to its sentence
Each part of the answer cites and highlights the exact sentence it’s based on. Click a citation and ProofJump jumps to — and highlights — that sentence in the page, so you can verify it yourself.
See when there’s no support
If a statement has no basis in the page, ProofJump shows that instead of hiding it — so an unsupported claim is obvious rather than assumed true.
